Well christmas was the same as my other years we draw a hat the year before and buy for the person you got. We can't spend more then 30 dollars. Christmas eve came and I went to the church service went home with the family that took up two full rows (cousins and such) went to my aunts house played, snacked on food, you see, instead of a nice dinner we snack on all different kinds of food, and instead of my dads side one year and my moms side the next we have my dads side for christmas eve open our presents there and in the morning go to my moms side. Anyways I got a Starbucks mug, candy cane and treats. Then the adults do a White elephant thing and get crazy stupid stuff like potty putters or something even weirder. We all leave but the one tradition that has never changed is getting Pj's from my Oma but this year we got Pj's for an eight teen year old and more big Pj's and then we realized we got my cousins Pj's so at 11:00 we were driving to exchange our Pj's. Then we go to my Grandparents house get our Pj's on and in and play with our new presents then go to sleep.
To me, the holiday season means. The main thing that means the most to me is the birth of Jesus Christ. Second , family. Family because I have always been with my family on christmas and christmas is a time to be with them so... family. You know it also means happiness me smiling to random strangers and freaking them out! Also not at all about the presents under the tree, not at all... of course I enjoy getting them but I don't think it has any meaning to christmas for me. It is not about the lights or the decorations either it's all about the people you are with and who you make smile.
Imagine this boy throws a ball at you in dodge-ball and you try to catch it you hurt your finger you don't cry you just think life goes on you just sit on the bench, move your pinkie and start tearing up a bit grab an ice pack no one knows until it really starts hurting. What you just imagined is what happened to me. So I'm sitting outside crying with an ice pack, people saying it's probably just a sprain, and then there's me " I feel like it's broken, but I know it's not" Ya so I go home and show my parents they wrap it up that day I had the KGB run (a big game of man hunt) and the next morning at 6:00 I'm in the hospital getting an x-ray (it's less crowded) and of course it was swollen and I couldn't move it and now I'm stuck with a big cast because.... It's broken! How crazy is that. No one but my dad thought it was broken.
My dad is always saying history tell me you don't clean your room or history tells me I have to yell for you to listen. So my family watches movies and it's always to late to finish so my dad says we'll finish it tomorrow. We were watching a movie and my dad of course said it's to late to finish, so he said we will finish it tomorrow and I told him history tells me we never finish the movie the next day and he said... sage... and I went to bed, of course the next day we did not watch the movie. We were in the car at 9:30 and I said I should have bet you money he said ya but then we would be watching it right now. Of course we would, and now I bet him ten bucks we won't watch it today and our day has already filled up.
History tells me I will have ten dollars tomorrow.
